Heating through infrared radiation and health

From the moment of our birth we are under the influence of infrared radiation.
The whole life on our planet depends on infrared and ultraviolet radiation (IR и UV) coming from the Sun. The Sun provides heat and light for photosynthesis.

Our ancestors have found very early infrared radiation in the form of open fire. With the time we have found a method for fire control and in this way we have created effective stoves using a chimney and the top point is the idea to obtain heat through the constructed stove.

In 1967 doctor Tadishi Ishikawa, working in the field of research and development of Fuji Medical company in Japan, created first cabin with infrared heat. At first it has been used by doctors for therapy but in 1981 on the market appeared the first ones with commercial purpose. They are named infrared sauna.

Infrared radiation is divided in three categories: IR-A, IR-B and IR-C.
IR-A-radiation is strong and must be avoided because prolonged radiation, for example strong sunlight, can lead to body overheating. IR-B-radiation penetrates deeply under the skin. IR-C-radiation penetrates only several mm and for this reason is very suitable for houses and premises heating, used for public aims. IR-C-radiation is the same small radiation which is produced by human body also. All objects and organisms with temperature higher than absolute zero radiate infrared radiation.

From 1981 the development is accelerated. Installations on the basis of doctor Tadishi Ishikawa developments have been soon included in rehabilitation centers, because of infrared radiation therapeutic effect as addition towards the traditional treatment forms.

Infrared (radiant) heating cabins work by means of combination of IR-B and IR-C and achieve deeply enough penetration for relaxation and heating of hurting and stiff extremities.

During 90s began the development of devices on the basis of infrared radiation for premises heating. These devices generate exclusively IR-C radiation and by this reason are not a subject of limitation for negative effect concerning their contact duration, on the contrary prolonged contact leads to more pleasant feeling. Some time ago have been created even chambers for babies, equipped with infrared heating in order newborn babies to receive a healthy heat.

The development of InfraSWISS (radiant) heating elements began at the end of 90s. Seven years took InfraSWISS team to construct an element complying with required by them demands for quality and effectiveness and to develop the conception, which successfully competes with all the rest heating methods, concerning comfort and effectiveness.

Heating with infraSWISS elements creates better environment without dust, the temperature in the whole room from the floor to ceiling is one and the same and the air is not dry. When heating the body is created a better sensation for warmth, which very much exceeds warmth sensation at conventional heating. Other priority is that infrared radiation gives warmth which penetrates perfunctorily through skin, provoking pleasant feeling, relaxing extremities and improving blood circulation.

As a result from the gained experience through the past years we succeeded to make a comparison between infrared heating and conventional heating methods, concerning effectiveness and production expenses.
